Is Gistia Predictive Analytics™ HIPAA compliant?

The platform is cloud-based in secure and compliant environments. Although most of the information received in the platform does not include PHI, it is built to comply with all HIPAA laws and regulations to protect the security and privacy of the data we retrieve, store, and monitor. We aim to exceed government guidelines for handling of PHI. Protecting the security, integrity, and privacy of your data is our highest priority.

What’s the difference between traditional business intelligence software and Gistia Predictive Analytics™?

Gistia Predictive Analytics™ is unique because it utilizes medical and laboratory claims and remittance information, alongside other timely data sources, to provide a real-time view of your business. The platform flags potential issues early in the process using the most up-to-date information available. Proprietary predictive analytics provides insight to know if a claim will be paid and how much of it will be paid, before it is submitted to the payer.

How soon can I detect if there’s a problem with a payer using the platform?

Typically, an unusually high denial rate from a specific payer or low reimbursement rate will be flagged for further investigation within one to three days depending on the volume of your claims going to the payer.

Is client data stored independently of other data and is it de-identified?

Every client’s data is stored in its own separate environment. We store all data in an encrypted way to ensure the safety of all client data.  The performance of our algorithms is partly dependent on the quantity of data provided by clients.

My IT department is busy, how much of their time will you need for implementation?

During the implementation phase, there are some questions that can arise which require IT assistance. This typically includes a few hours of discussion, worksheets, and interviews to understand the organization’s structure, quality, and processes of data collection, storage, maintenance, availability, and more.
